Campsis radicans

"Trumpet Vine" (from the flower shape) Campsis radicans is a large vigorous self-clinging climber (some help required to start with) it flowers in the late summer on the current years growth with bunches of  red flowers. Hardy but needs hot sunny conditions to flower well. Not fussy as to soil type. Flowers on new growth and very spectacular in flower.

Introduced from the South Eastern United States around 1640.
